Narrative - Realist & Anti-Realist

A realist narrative mainly includes things that can be seen in a every day situation. Real life narrative's are considered as a realist narrative. So in other words the majority of things seen in a realist TV series will have non-fictionalized ideas put into it. An example of a TV series that follows a realist narrative could be a series called EastEnders. Where as on the other hand if something has a strong fictionalized idea put into a TV series it is classed as a Anti-Realist TV series. Some of the fictionalized ideas can range from the set to story and also fiction characters such as zombies. So on the other hand if the series includes anything like the things listed before it is classed as Anti-Realist. An example of a Anti-Realist TV series could be a series called The Walking Dead. And this is a apocalyptic TV series that includes zombies that feed off of human flesh and if someone is bit they turn into a zombie. In my opinion I find Anti-Realist TV series a lot more entertaining because they are a lot more intensifying.
