Narrative - Single & Multi Strand

A single strand narrative always primarily focuses on one character throughout a whole film series, TV series or just a individual film. Also on a single strand narrative they are mainly multiple minor characters that might interfere with his life in a bad and good way at some point. An example of a single strand narrative is the film series called Harry Potter. This film series consisted off 8 films that was based off of 7 books written by J.K Rowling. A multi strand narrative follows a large string of main characters and in series like this it tells you all of their story's but near enough all of them can be connected by something good or bad that might of happened in the past of their lives. An example of a multi strand narrative could be a TV series called Lost. In my opinion I find single narrative's a lot more interesting because you get to know everything about Harry Potter as an example and this on the other hand can make us quite connected to this character. So from this we might feel sorry for him or happy etc. And these are some of the reasons why I like single narratives a lot more.
